Predator: Killer of Killers
I’m slightly late to the party here, but Dan Trachtenberg (director of Prey, one the few pleasant surprises of the 2020s) has taken the classic formula for a good Predator movie — completely different story but then a Predator shows up — and used it to give us a gloriously bloody and beautifully animated anthology film. It’s gorgeous and exciting, and helps fill that Yautja-shaped void until Trachtenberg’s next live action film, Predator: Badlands, which is out this November.

Well, Colbert and the Daily Show may have decided to take the rest of the month off, but at least we have John Oliver to help us limp through August.
